![]() ![]() I see how it can be useful if your keyboard is not in front of your monitor, but if it is, I'm pretty sure using a mouse with your monitor (which is way bigger than those tiny screens) would be way more convenient. Another thing is that their whole screen concept on their flagship keyboards is a bit weird. The obvious major flaw is that you'll be working in their proprietary system, so if they break compatibility in a few years, or have weird bugs, or whatever else, you're completely at their mercy. You'll have to use their wrapper plugin (instead of adding a VST instrument on the track you'll be adding this wrapper instead, and then choose the instrument, provided it's compatible in the first place of course) to get their whole NKS thing going. ![]() If you're looking at NI's Komplete Kontrol series, it's a bit of a different beast. Hmm, I have the cog labeled MIDI Controller at the bottom, however it doesnt seem to have much besides choosing different arturia products for the layout. Basically, it's just easier to use the mouse most of the time, the physical controls are more useful for automation and performance really. Btw, it's actually not that convenient because the actual physical controls, unless they're endless encoders (or mechanized faders, and your controller works well with your DAW and plugins, and they might not), they won't physically move when you change the presets. It's not something to be worried about, it should work with any midi controller and nearly every plugin. In general, most knobs, faders, buttons that you see in plugins can be easily mapped to your keyboard's physical controls. With Analog Lab you can just map the knobs and faders to your controller (if it has them). In the standalone VST outside of FL Studio, the tone adjustment pads work fine, but within FL12 they do not. ![]() When I google controllers that are great for both these plug-ins ![]()
